The project APPLE – Applied curricula in space exploration and intelligent robotic systems, – is funded in 2017 by the European Union within ERASMUS+ KA2 Capacity Building in Higher Education Program. Its main goal is to update curricula in space exploration and intelligent robotic systems at Partner Universities in Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. The project was realized in 2017-2020 by a consortium of 25 partners: 17 universities, including 5 from EU program countries – France, Germany, Latvia, Estonia and Belgium, and 8 non-academic partners.
The project aims to support the modernisation of higher education in space exploration and intelligent robotic systems through innovative two cycles curricula compliant with the Bologna System requirements and aligned with the local and global labour market demands.
Realized project activities comprised: review and analysis of the current programmes /curricula (BA, MA) in space technologies and robotics; upgrade of the programmes/curricula; development, publishing and purchasing of new tutorials and handbooks; opening of ROBOLABs – study and research laboratories; establishment of TETROs – Technology Transfer Offices.
Academic content: 16 curricula and module inclusive ECTS using updated teaching techniques and modern learning environment.
